2016

Gegründet von Wawa, Cindy und Denny im Mai 2016. 

Name, Stil und Thematik standen recht früh fest und wurden daraufhin ausgebaut.

 

Erste Songs wie "Drauge" und "Solstitium" wurden eingeprobt und gegen Ende 2016 aufgenommen.

 

2017

„Kampf der Kämpfe“, „Caelum“ und „Dwalin“ enstehen

 

August 2017 trennte sich Thjodrörir im guten von ihren Schlagzeuger Scheuni.

 

Seit Dezember 2017 haben sie mit Florian die Position am Schlagzeug besetzt.

 

2018

Ausbau und einproben des Livesets steht seitdem im Vordergrund.

 

Kurzfristig wurden sie zum Mosh Im Mai Warm Up im Medusa Kiel eingeladen und hielten hier ihre erste Liveshow ab.

 

Heide und Wedel waren die nächsten Livetermine

 

Im September steht mit dem Coast Rock Festival (Niedersachsen) der erste Festivalgig an

 

2019

 M&G Pagan Night, Mahlstrom Open Air, Meltdown Festival

Produktion des Albums Solstitium.

 

Im Oktober 2019 verlässt Schlagzeuger Florian Thjodrörir.

 

2020

Lars übernimmt am Schlagzeug

3.10 Release vom Musikvideo zum neuen Song "Skogamor"

Nach langer Live-Pause startet die Festivalsaison 

mit einen Auftritt auf dem Darktroll Festival in Bornstedt

English Bio

Thjodrörir is a pagan-metal band from Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, formed in 2016. The band members are Denny (vocalist and guitarist), Kim (bassist), Cindy (guitarist) and Lars (drummer).

Thjodrörir plays a mix of pagan and black metal and thematically focuses on Nordic mythology and dwarves. Their music is characterized by blast beats, tremolo riffing and harsh vocals, which form the foundation for their songs. Melodies and unexpected structural changes enliven the music and provide a unique listening experience.

In 2020, the band released their first album "Solstitium", which was recorded independently. In 2021, they released a music video for their song "Skogamor". Currently, the band is working on more songs and rehearsing for future concerts.

Thjodrörir has performed on several notable festivals, including the Wolfszeit Festival, the Dark Troll Festival, the Mahlstrom Festival, the Meet and Gread Pagan Night, the Death Sentences and the Coast Rock Festival.

The name Thjodrörir comes from the Edda and is a reference to the power of the voice that cuts through earth, rock and stone. It also highlights the band's close relationship to Nordic mythology and the theme of dwarves.
